Gold is an upcoming Hindi Language historical sport drama film of superstar Akshay kumar who have done such a great roles in movies like Toilet, Padman.

This movie is directed by  Reema kagtiand produced by  Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under excel entertainment banner. This movie is releasing on 15 August 2018.

This movie is based on the first hockey medal that was won by India after independence . It tells us about Golden history of Indian hockey.

Akshay for first time will be seen as Bengali in the movie. The official announcement of movie was made in October 2016 by its lead actor Akshay kumar.The Indian National hockey team captain and  Arjun Award Winner Sandeep singh, signed to train actors to improve their hockey skills.

Major shooting done in and The Midlands, England and YorkshireThis movie is inspired by true event,when India had just become independent at that time Olympic games were hosted in England in 1948. Indian defeated its colonial masters on their soil.
